Faith is not static; it grows, shifts, and deepens over time. In this class, we will explore how faith develops through different stages of life.

Together, we’ll examine the characteristics of each stage, exploring how people understand God, truth, authority, and meaning at various points in their lives. We’ll reflect on how our own experiences align with these stages and how spiritual growth often involves disruption, doubt, transformation, and renewal.

About the Presenter

Bill Dogterom (D.Min.) recently retired as Professor of Pastoral Ministries and Spiritual Formation at Vanguard University, a position at which he served full-time beginning in 2000, seeking to support women and men in lifetime ministry, regardless of their vocation. He brings over 40 years of local church ministry in pastoral roles to his work in soul care and spiritual direction for which the Art of Spiritual Direction program provided a structure and language to support his ministry to college students, pastors, and congregants.
