Finding Hope in Challenging Times: A Lenten Retreat Series

Event Details
Please join us each Thursday evening this Lent (February 19 through March 26) for a series of reflection and prayer experiences presented online by the Los Angeles Retreat Center Community (LARCC), of which the Center for Spiritual Development is a member.
Each of our six weekly Lenten spiritual journey presentations will focus on Finding Hope in Challenging Times. We will explore the events of Lent, leading to the Passion and Easter, in the context of today – the feelings of polarization, distress, anxiety, fear, worry, loss, grief – with knowledge and experience of seeing through those conditions or feelings and moving forward – through mercy/forgiveness, dialogue/respect, courage, faith/surrender, and gratitude. We will experience Lent from the perspective that we know how the story turned out – for the better. It’s not just history – it’s how we can approach events and have hope in our world today, too.
Each week, a different member retreat center will have its retreat leaders guide the presentation, reflection, prayer, and opportunity for discussion. (Sister Bernie Inocencio, CSJ, of the Center for Spiritual Development will present on Mercy and Forgiveness February 26.) Sessions are one hour long. You may attend any or all of the sessions of this free series.
